Aluminum hollow bar is used as a cost-effective substitute for aluminum round bar for machining parts that contain an Inner Diameter ID. Aluminum hollow part can reduce costs in certain situations as much as 60% when compared to Aluminum round bar when you factor in total cost of tooling, machining, and scrap loss.
